italian beauty

Located in the core part of Girona's medieval quarter, within the scope of the first wall and overlooking the Plaça de Sant Domènec, is the property Alemanys 5 by Anna Noguera, whose original building dates from the Sixteenth Century. Its recent restoration integrates old and new, where sober and clean lines look for the enjoyment of essential elements such as space, light, shadow, fire, stone, water or silence.

you've got mono

Presented at the Stockholm Furniture Fair, Mono is slender, and with its strict language, the sofa is like an echo of architecture. Hidden padding and a flexible back provides a high level of comfort. Available as a chair, 2-seater and 3-seater. Too minimal? Maybe.

hidden gem

The talented design duo’s firm Atherton, Keener landed a spot on the cover of DWELL, a drool-worthy national architecture publication. Atherton and Keener opened the door of their Meadowbrook house in downtown Phoenix for a tour and a discussion on their history and future in architecture. Their house, a cool concrete block-like structure, stands out in their neighborhood, but keeps a low(ish) profile behind tall oleander bushes.

oh, eero

Some rare photos of the Miller House by designed by Eero Saarinen. Completed in 1957 for industrialist and philanthropist J. Irwin Miller in Columbus, Indiana, the Miller House and Garden embodies midcentury Modernism in its fullest. Architect Eero Saarinen‘s steel and glass composition has held together very well, proving the quality and use of materials to be worthy of time.

it's a gass, gass, gass

Tucked away in a valley in the mountains of Langeberg Mountains in South Africa is a place where the natural landscape is the best activity. Located between the towns of Ashton and Swellendam, God’s Window is a different kind of resort. Designed by Johannesburg-based architect Georg van Gass of GASS Architecture Design Studio, the structure is a minimalist U-shaped set of glass buildings surrounding a courtyard on three sides.

fit for a queen

Soft, voluptuous shapes. An accumulation of layers. A modest but welcoming character. It all adds up to ROYALE, a beautiful armchair by Beaverhausen. The idea behind Royale was to immerse people in comfort. Refined details, like buttons with patterns of crowns and crosses, make the chair “complete”.

eccentric eclectic

New York architects Fernlund + Logan's client list includes under-the-radar designers like Ted Muehling and textile company Maharam. One of their more recent projects is a loft on Hudson Street, featuring the firm's trademark Scandinavian understatement—oiled oak floors, plenty of white space, and an eclectic mix of furnishings and art.
