Monday, April 18, 2011 at 7:36PM The stunning Zuiderzee chair was created by Dutch designer Richard Hutten for the Zuiderzee Museum in the Netherlands. Zuiderzee is based on a traditional Dutch chair of wood and woven sticks or straw. In Hutten's interpretation, smooth beech wood, subtle curves, and a slimmer profile offer the piece a contemporary aesthetic, whilst still referencing its historical origins.

...Richard Hutten. I like his work...I asked him what are the “latest” trends in furnishings? He answered: "I have no clue. Trends are not of my interest. I hope optimism and playfulness."
